December 9, 2012 – Kerrion Hayes, junior at Melrose High School, passes time by running through lyrics in his head before performing at the third annual Poetry Slam Finale, presented by the Memphis Grizzlies and Southwest Tennessee Community College. Featuring 20 winning students from area schools, the winning poet will walk away with a two-year, full tuition scholarship to Southwest Tennessee Community College and an all-expense paid trip to New York City during their spring break.
